Check out Google search specifically for blogs. Search for yourself and see what comes up. Other fun ones: LJSeek searches all posts, regardless of whether the user has made them engine searchable. LJFind not as good as LJSeek in my opinion.
It’s weird hearing people rationalize / justify decisions. It generally takes the form of a series of true statements which are not actually linked to the action in question.
