Cut River Bridge

The Cut River Bridge just into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  It seems like this was a consistent stop on the way to Grand Marais, or in this case a side trip from the initial destination of Mackinac Island and I’ve been there probably half a dozen times.  It’s not much more than a little bridge on M-2 with a rest stop, but it’s a fun break from driving.  There are steps to go to the bottom of the ravine where the river runs and from there it’s easy to walk out into Lake Michigan, it’s also easy to turn the other way and wander off into the tick infested fields.  I recommend the Lake Michigan route.
