This is a shot from a spring 2008 trip East to Vermont / New Hampshire for a week of skiing. It’s taken from the top of Wildcat in NH (maybe, on second checking, I’m not as certian of that), though I’m not sure it’s completely fair to call it a picture of Wildcat. I like the mountains poking through the clouds.
Side story: This was the first ski trip after I got my current job which means it was the first ski trip when I had only two weeks of vacation time per year. I wasn’t used to having that limit. I had a new pair of Atomic B5’s which I discovered we’re pretty unimpressive. So, at some ski shop in Conway, NH I went against my cheap-ass nature and bought equipment while on vacation: a pair of Volkl S5’s. They were an amazing improvement and made the subsequent days much better. I still have them now, even after some intermediary work.
