Budgeting

In a small bit of relief, I received my whitewater paddle – which had already been charged to my card and paid for. So that’s one less thing that I have to include in my budget. On the down side, I did not include my cell phone payment.

The paddle is quite nice, and so much more solid than my touring paddle which I had been using up to this point. Heavier too though. We’ll see how it paddles… there is no dihedral on the blade face, which strikes me as slightly odd and makes me wonder if it will flutter in the water, but this does give slightly more power.

I really can’t figure out why it was discounted as a blemished run… It’s weird too, because usually when something is sold as a second, it’s sold as is. I had them customize this one, making it shorter, changing the feather angle and adding the indexing oval on the left side.

I’m not sure anyone reading this will care about my kayak paddle, but hey, knowledge is power right???
