Weekend

Synopsis of the weekend:

Headed up North late Wednesday. Got there early Thursday. Woke up late Thursday. Thursday afternoon, went out hunting in Cedar: no deer. Thursday night, nice TG style dinner with family.

Friday, didn’t get up early. Parents went Friday shopping, for the first time in several years. Went shopping around noon so Mark could get a football. Found out that MC Sports had a nice gun on sale ‘until they were gone.’ Went home, pondered gun. Shot hunting rifles. Noticed that I left my clip in EL, oops. Decided that Mark’s custom hand loaded 270 shells aren’t accurate worth a damn. Not much else…

Saturday, didn’t get up early. Helped move / cut / stack firewood for a while. Fixed left Jeep headlight, having two headlights again is kick ass. Went hunting in Emipre in the evening. Michael got a spike. I saw some does from a distance but no shot. Chased the does out of the woods. They ran by my Dad, but he didn’t have a chance to shoot. One deer got (actually tagged it too!). Home for dinner. Played some cards. Used hot tub. Sleep.

Sunday, didn’t get up early. Went to church. Went home. Went back into town to buy gun on sale. Found out that the gun was actually on a Black Friday 6am-1pm sale. Didn’t know that kind of sale worked for guns. Lesson learned. Went hunting in Empire again. No deer. Went home for dinner, fresh venison steaks! Headed back to EL. Noticed low tire at Sunoco station before Claire. Filled. Noticed completely flat tire 20 miles down the road. Changed along side of freeway. Finished trip home at 50 mph. Stopped at Meijer for tire fixing supplies. Stopped at bank to deposit check. Came home, wrote in LJ. Paid online bills. Went to bed.
