Iris
[singlepic id=1249 w=480 float=left] Probably the coolest color combo flower in the garden. Purple-red & yellow iris. Picture taken with Canon Rebel XT (300D), EF-S 18-55mm lens @ 41mm, f/5.0, 1/60 sec, ISO 100.

White Iris
[singlepic id=1248 w=480 float=left] White iris. Picture taken with Canon Rebel XT (300D), EF-S 18-55mm lens @ 55mm, f/5.6, 1/200 sec, ISO 100.
Purple Iris
[singlepic id=1246 w=480 float=left] Purple iris. Good picture, I think… not the best angle though. Picture taken with Canon Rebel XT (300D), EF-S 18-55mm lens @ 48mm, f/5.6, 1/500 sec, ISO 400.
Flower
[singlepic id=1245 w=480 float=left] Couldn’t tell you what this one is, but with the darker colors and being all in one plane the picture turned out alright. Background is a little distracting. Picture taken with Canon Rebel XT (300D), EF 70-300mm lens @ 130mm, f/6.3, 1/20 sec, ISO 400.
Yellow Lilly
[singlepic id=1244 w=480 float=left] A yellow lilly… Maybe some depth of field limitations coming into play here. Picture taken with Canon Rebel XT (300D), EF 70-300mm lens @ 190mm, f/5.6, 1/250 sec, ISO 400.
Buds
[singlepic id=1253 w=320 float=left][singlepic id=1252 w=320] Because it was asked… left/top as posted yesterday, right/bottom slight adjustment to the reds. I think it does look better slightly desaturated – but that also might be because I’m viewing it on a monitor that washes out details once it gets to a… Continue reading
Tiger Lilly
[singlepic id=1243 w=480 float=left] A tiger lilly… I think it suffers the same saturation degradation as the bulb from yesterday. Probably could be solved if I had the picture in RAW format… but alas. Picture taken with Canon Rebel XT (300D), EF 70-300mm lens @ 140mm, f/5.0, 1/80 sec, ISO… Continue reading
Peony Bud
[singlepic id=1242 w=480 float=left] Well, if not a flower yet, in the future it will be… I don’t like what the saturation does to the red, but I’m not sure I like the desaturated version better or not. Update: I’ve been informed, with a high degree of confidence, that this… Continue reading
MSU Radiology Garden
[singlepic id=1241 w=480 float=left] This is a so-so picture of the fountain that is / was part of the garden outside the radiology building at MSU. I think somewhere I have one that I like a bit more that was taken at night, but that’s irrelevant now. For a few… Continue reading
Lorikeet
[singlepic id=1240 w=480 float=left] Older picture from Busch Gardens in Florida from back in the day of the C-2040z. I probably have a dozen pictures of these guys that turned out quite good given the megapixel limitations of the camera being used. Granted, they’re of birds that naturally look very… Continue reading
