NFAA Indoor Sectionals 2026

Made the trek over to Mid-Michee to shoot NFAA Indoor Great Lakes Sectionals.

The results were acceptable. The format is slightly different this year in that you can shoot twice and the better score gets ranked.

First round was 58x (37 IOs). That’s pretty OK, but I had already made the trip so I shot the second round… and dropped the last arrow of the first end. 10 clean practice, and a miss in the first end. But, with the stress off (that’s a lie) it ended at 59 X’s (45 IOs). That one miss is huge to me, but there’s still a chance that the score stands when the rest of the states in our section report in.

Afterward, I ventured slightly further in to Midland to see the FAMOUS TRIDGE! It has a Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tridge_(Midland,_Michigan)

The tridge was there, as promised, and I walked to all three ends. The park itself… kinda flooded and containing some sculptures with very unexciting names.

GRAND VALLEY SPORTING GOODS – they sponsor me, which means I get to look all legit in a shooter jersey and they get a link here.  They have nothing to do with the tridge.?
