[singlepic id=1151 w=480 float=left] This picture of a couple farmers in India plowing a field is possibly my favorite picture from my work trip to India. I mainly like its simplicity – after all, it’s mostly just color and pattern with just enough going on to provide an element of… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1149 w=640 float=center] I told you this was coming, back in January… This is from the version of Austin trip where Steve came over and played tour guide. This is the Pennybacker Bridge going over Lake Austin. The road is the Loop 360 highway an according to Wikipedia is… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1148 w=640 float=center] Presented here is a picture from along the Cedar River accessed from the back end of my grandparents land in Cedar. Mark and I hiked back there a few years ago in the winter. The river was frozen across as you can see on the right… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1147 w=480 float=left] Here’s a second shot of Half Dome taken at Sunset on our first day in Yosemite taken from Glacier Point. I believe there was a hike that we could have done ending at the point, but we had been doing other things throughout the day, so… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1145 w=480 float=left] I’ve posted one similar to this before, but it was not this one, so I’m not breaking my rules. Of course, in some cases that means I could post what appeared to be the same picture for a month straight without truly repeating. This is a… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1144 w=640 float=center] Sunset in Grand Haven taken from Grand Haven State Park – this is an older shot from 2012 and taken at a time of year when it was warm out – which also had an influence on where the sun was coming down on the horizon,… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1143 w=480 float=left] This one’s an obvious HDR – but in defense of unnatural post-processing, it looks better than any of the individual shots, regardless of how much processing is done to them. I’ve shared the picture before, here & here because apparently when we’ve stayed in Eindhoven, Netherlands… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1139 w=480 float=center] This picture of the remnants of a sunset over the Western end of Bois Blanc remains one of my favorite pictures. From a strict picture file standpoint, it’s probably barely shrugworthy, but I thought it was really cool how there was just enough area of cloud-free… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1137 h=480 float=left] The lighthouse on the North side of Bois Blanc. This is from an long past trip that Steve and I took to Bois Blanc. For anyone who doesn’t know, Bois Blanc is a moderately sized island just east of Mackinac in Lake Huron. There are two… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1138 w=480 float=left] A little panorama capturing the North point of the Bois Blanc Island. This was one of my first ever uses of Autostitch to combine pictures into a single shot. I believe cameras were just starting to come with software which would help do this, but most… Continue reading
