Lake of the Angels
[singlepic id=1773 w=480 float=left] Lake of the Angels campsite – this was probably the coolest campsite I’ve stayed at. Picture taken with Sony a6000, SEL 18-200mm lens @ 200mm, 1/80 sec, f/16, ISO 100

Day 4 entailed a lot of driving, with a few stops along the Oregon coast mixed in. Our first attempt was a lighthouse very near Newport, but the line of cars just to get into the park was extending beyond visible range of the entrance so we took the hint… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1768 h=480 float=left] This was one of the shots that comprised the previous moon HDR pic. The images in that one weren’t really that well aligned, so everything was quite soft. This one didn’t have quite the detail on the edges, but overall it’s a much better picture. Picture… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1682 w=480 float=left] Last one before I post the entire batch for real, and it’s a picture of dirt. Sand, to be more accurate, which I happened to like the looks of as the tide started to come in. Picture taken with Sony a6000, SEL18200 lens @ 53mm, 1/60… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1681 w=480 float=left] The young kid along the shore said this was a jellyfish egg pouch, but I think it’s actually a moon jellyfish. There weren’t a huge number of these washing up, but a few did come in with the tide. This was one of the more ‘whole’… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1680 w=480 float=left] These pink anemones were probably the least common. I’m sure there are some actual species differences here, but I have no idea what they might be. Picture taken with Sony a6000, SEL18200 lens @ 200mm, 1/320 sec, f/6.3, ISO 800
[singlepic id=1679 w=480 float=left] Second anemone shot – same color, different anemone. The green ones this size were not the most common, but they were plentiful. Picture taken with Sony a6000, SEL18200 lens @ 200mm, 1/320 sec, f/8, ISO 800
[singlepic id=1678 w=480 float=left] One of a plethora of anemone’s we saw in the tidepools, though most were much smaller and less photogenic than this one. Yeah, it’s a photogenic anemone. I must have had a polarizer on for this shot because it’s 4x the ISO as the others and… Continue reading
[singlepic id=1677 w=480 float=left] Shot down into the Devil’s Punchbowl along the Oregon coast. I realized I haven’t posted any pictures from this day yet, so I’ll put a few out there before I post the full writeup. Picture taken with Sony a6000, SEL18200 lens @ 18mm, 1/125 sec, f/11,… Continue reading
Day 3 was mostly spent at Crater Lake. I like to relax on vacation by demanding that we wake up in time for sunrise and go to take pictures. In light of this, we got up early to head to Watchman overlook with our coffee, but finding clouds there, backtracked… Continue reading
